The Fabulous Miss
Wendy This lady is tough to pigeonhole which right away makes me smile. I was first seduced by her sound because of the hard driving classic rock that blared at me from my pathetic computer speakers. As I listened I noticed a clear punk influence as well and suddenly found myself spinning out of control from the delicious taste of blues that slips in now and again. |

The EP offers five songs, all wonderfully fresh and in your face original which is so damned rare lately. Not only does the lady attack a guitar like a young Keith Richards, but she can write as well. Damn! My only complaint with this disc is that the mixer shouldn’t have been so afraid to punch up the bass and drums. The tracks play a bit thin because of it. I’ve since had the great pleasure of seeing this band live at The Whisky and other Hollywood venues and there’s nothing thin about it. For more on this go to our Live section and check her out. Ooh My God! offers five selections; "Mistress," "Love Song," "It Hurts," "Daddy’s Gone" and my personal favorite "How Could You." The music scene is alive and well in LA, boy howdy! —Jessie Lilley |
